Adding Time in Military Time

To add time in military format, add the hours and minutes to the starting time. When the result goes past 2359, the time moves into the next day.

For example, 2200 plus 3 hours equals 0100 on the next day. In standard time, that means 10:00 PM plus 3 hours equals 1:00 AM.

Subtracting Time in Military Time

To subtract time, remove the chosen hours and minutes from the starting time. When the result goes below 0000, the time moves into the previous day.
